The New York State Learning Standards describe what all students should know, understand, and be able to do. The English Language Arts tests that students take in New York are scored based on the English Language Arts standards. Below is a link to descriptions of each standard. Each standard description is followed by an activity that you and your child can do together to help improve her skills in that area.
